Definition
Your Sun sign is the zodiac sign the Sun was traveling through at the moment of your birth. It is the sign most people know about themselves, and it is what most newspaper horoscope columns are referring to when they say your sign.
In context
The Sun sign describes the central curriculum of the life, the part of the self that wants to be expressed and made visible. It is one of the most important placements in the chart, but it is not the whole story. The Moon, the Ascendant, and the rest of the planets all add their own dimensions, which is why two people with the same Sun sign can feel quite different in person.
